Thank you for your support over the past several days - the Nova Scotia film industry is an incredible community, united in the response of disastrous public policy. We are proud of all your efforts, and invigorated by your support. Please know that we are working hard behind the scenes. This is not over.
Pease read all the details below carefully:
RALLY ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH, 12PM - 7PM, OUTSIDE PROVINCE HOUSE
Screen Nova Scotia will be staging a massive rally outside the Nova Scotia Legislature (Province House, 1740 Granville Street) this Wednesday, from 12PM to 7PM. The rally will takeover all surrounding streets (Granville Street, George Street, Hollis Street, Prince Street) and the crowd will be moving in a circular motion to ensure our presence is surrounding Province House throughout the day. There will be a Welcome Table stationed at each of the four corners.
We will need your support to stage this production! This is an all-afternoon event, but 12:00 - 1:30 and 5:00 - 6:30 are our CRUCIAL hours for you to be there and to show your support. We will need to be LOUD!
Please be prepared for the weather as you would for any day on set. Please bring your family, friends, and supporters - this production needs as many extras as possible!
We will be working hard to ensure this rally is safe and sensible, as well as respectful - we want our message to be one of the industry uniting in community and hope, so we do NOT
encourage any extreme demonstration. We are showcasing our industry at this event, so please be respectful of the site and help your Locations Department to make this a clean and green event!
The many facets of our industry will be on display during the rally, and we will be featuring a cast of many well-know characters and speakers with important messages. The event will - of course - be filmed!
Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook for further details as they become available. If you have something to contribute to that rally that you think would be helpful, please contact Siobhan Kennedy-Cameron at firstname.lastname@example.org
