Hey everyone,
Just about 18 hours removed from landing back home in Israel, I'm still processing the wonderful week that was in Malta.
A couple people have asked me what the highlight of my trip was, but honestly it's difficult to pick out one solitary thing. My overall experience during the Malta Poker Festival was just stellar and perhaps what feels so good to say, professionally speaking, is that I genuinely felt that I was on my writing A-game throughout.
As the years have progressed, I've delegated more and more of the content production here at Cardplayer Lifestyle to freelance contributors. To be sure, I still produce about 25% of the writing, but it's rarer than it used to be that I produce features.
While I know my way around a keyboard pretty well, my writing pace is unfortunately slower than I'd like to to be and that's in part due to the difficulty of focusing when there's so much to juggle in my day-to-day #dadlife.
To be sure, I missed my family while abroad (as I always do), but being on my own allowed me to fully focus without distraction and produce three full-length feature articles I'm incredibly proud of. In case you've missed them, you can check them out below. Special shout out to my longtime friend Moshe Friedline, whose phenomenal photography helped further bring my writing in Malta to life.
The clock's ticking once again as Israel inches towards its 74th Independence Day, which begins momentarily. With shabbat following just further off on the horizon, family life returns to priority #1 now while I begin preparations for WPT Choctaw, which I jet off to next week.
All the while, I'm still working on promoting our Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival II: the poker merchandise and paraphernalia has begun arriving at Resorts World, and you can expect a couple more announcements prior to the festival's kickoff on June 12th.
As always, there's plenty more to come, with a never-ending slate of content in the production line for you all. Thanks so much for your continued support of our brand, for sharing our articles, and for motivating us to keep doing what we love in the poker media sphere.
If you're planning on attending WPT Choctaw, please let me know. And as always, if you see me "on the road" come say hi and get yourself a Cardplayer Lifestyle patch.
