September 2019
If you're reading this, I want to start off by thanking you for clicking through when you got my newsletter email instead of just deleting it.

That might seem like a strange way to start out a newsletter, but the fact is that I put earnest effort and time into producing it each month (for 3.5 years now!), so it's really meaningful to me to know that people are reading it. I APPRECIATE YOU!

September was a month where we got back to "full on content production" in earnest. With that said, I feel like -- to use a baseball metaphor -- while we've kept on "hitting base hits, we haven't hit any home runs" in a while.

While I'm as passionate as ever about poker and producing content that a poker-loving audience will hopefully enjoy, I also realize that it's harder than ever before to attract an audience and keep people coming back for more. There's just a lot of media vying for your attention these days... so the question is what to do about it?

I'd like to turn the floor over to you guys. You've all opted in to get monthly updates from me. YOU'RE MY TRIBE! So what type(s) of content would you like for Cardplayer Lifestyle to produce? Who would you like us to interview? What types of articles would you like to see more of?

Feedback is a real blessing, and I truly value it. I've worked hard to get you all to be fans, so I want to make sure you're happy and that as poker fans you continue to be informed and entertained.

I look forward to getting an email reply from you with your suggestions for how we can make Cardplayer Lifestyle even better moving forward.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to write me, and wishing you all a Shana Tova from Israel.

You can absolutely make money at poker... if you consistently overcome the other players (and the rake). But what about beating the house? Want to add another advantage to your casino arsenal? Well, in the new book The 21st-Century Card Counter, professional card counter Colin Jones gives the exact strategies being used by card counters to beat today's blackjack for six or even seven-figures. Learn the skills, strategies, and mindset needed to bring down the house in today's casino environment.

After taking our feet off the gas pedal for a bit, Bruce Briggs and I got back in the saddle, producing two new episodes of the Top Pair Home Game Poker Podcast this month.

From recapping our eventful summers to the ups and downs we've experienced at the felt, we tackle all the issues related to home game poker. Plus we've now got some great added value segments like "Table Talk" from BBO Poker Tables' George Chao. Be sure to have a listen!

As always, I've included a selection of this month's top articles (which you may have missed) below. I hope you enjoy the reads; if you do, please share your favorites on social media to help spread the word!

Your feedback, constructive or otherwise, is of course welcome.
