The Napa Valley Grapegrowers' Annual Harvest STOMP was a success as always. We cooked a steer over open fire. Always trying to shop local, the steer was bought at the Napa Fair 4H auction. The Napa Valley Grapegrowers raised $560,000 to support the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundatrion. Click here to view images from the event.

4th Annual Farm to Grill to Table

A SMOKE Open Fire Cooking Harvest Celebration!

Please join us for our 4th Annual Harvest Feast “on the farm” at Big Ranch Farm, 2046 Big Ranch Road, Napa on Saturday, October 10, 6:30-9:30 pm. This year, we are celebrating Poultry! Here in the valley we are fortunate to have access to so many wonderful local producers. Once again, we have the pleasure to partner with our friends at Big Ranch Farms who share the same values and philosophy when it comes to bringing local quality ingredients to the table. Featuring local musicians Ari Eisenberg and Sara Rodenburg while enjoying a creative alfresco dining experience, co-hosted by Mark & Teresa Haberger.

Camp Napa Culinary Class

Chef Morgan completed his last cooking class this season for Hugh Carpenter's "Camp Napa Culinary" October 1. Classes sold our early so make sure to register early next year! The Camp Napa experience offers an “insider’s” tour, limited to just 14 attendees, to Napa Valley’s elite small wineries, great kitchens, and homes. Hugh is your teacher for three of the participation cooking classes and your host for every event throughout the week.
The programs are created for travelers who want to combine a learning vacation with free time to pursue their own interests while in Napa Valley.

The Napa Valley Film Festival returns November 11– 15, 2015 for its fifth anniversary. The Gala is known as the most glamorous party of the year. Everyone will be dressed to impress and the Festivals celebrities will be fresh off their screenings from earlier in the day. Walk the same red carpet, past the flashing bulbs and into an evening of glitz blended with Napa Valley style. We will be serving a Foie Gras Bon Bon with Smoked Almonds. Tickets will be sold at the door and we hope to see you there.

1 lemon, halved
1 (3 pound) octopus, cleaned of beak & ink sac
3 tablespoons dried Greek oregano
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons Greek olive oil
1-teaspoon salt
