Growing toward Justice and Peace at CCB this May

Dear CCB Members and Friends,

It's May! Check out our powerful lineup of Sunday speakers:

Karla Rab, a member of Community Church since 2013, kicks off May with a discussion entitled "Human Nature" this Sunday, May 3rd. Music by Terry Kitchen.

Also this Sunday, help shape the Sunday programs for Fall 2015 at a special meeting after the service at 1:30pm.

On May 10th, Stephen Shenfield, former professor of International Relations at Brown University, talks about "Globalization and Nationalism". Music by Ricky Mier and Charles Berthoud.

On May 17th, Ron Goldman will talk about "Creating a More Peaceful Society by Confronting the Origins of Violence". Music by a string quartet featuring Lisa Goddard, Rachel Panitch, Eve Boltax, and Ariel Friedman.

Sunday, May 24th, we present the 38th Annual Sacco & Vanzetti Award to peace activist Kathy Kelly, following her recent imprisonment for direct action against drone warfare. Kathy's talk will be on "The Cost of War, the Price of Peace."

The final Sunday this month, May 31st, we host renowned activist Tom Hayden, a member of Students for a Democratic Society in the '60's, now on tour with a new book called "Listen Yankee! Why Cuba Matters" on the changing U.S.-Cuba relationship.
