Take action locally!  In the run-up to the election Sustrans are asking people to make a difference in their local area by telling their local candidates what they would like to see to improve walking and cycling (including cycle training) in their constituency.  For more information - take action here. And/or tweet:  In the run up to #GE2015 make cycle training  a key priorityhttp://sustrans.me/1Exz5lr #SafeToSchool

UCAS points for Bikeability? TABS is working with the London Borough of Bromley to encourage UCAS to consider awarding university entry points to students who have completed Level 1, 2 and 3 Bikeability, as an incentive to students to undertake their Bikeability training as well as gain excellent cycling skills in preparation for cycling at university. We will be raising this issue with our partners and government departments over the next couple of months to see what action we can get.  If anyone has any ideas/suggestions please contact: Isobel@tabs-uk.org.uk

2015 Hazard Perception report results
This research was designed to test the hypothesis that Bikeability improves children’s ability to perceive and appropriately respond to on-road hazards faced by people who cycle. The research, undertaken by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER), was commissioned by the Bikeability Support Team at Steer Davies Gleave with funding from the Department for Transport and support from former TABS Board member, Michael Frearson.  To read more about the key findings click here.
