2015 ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCE
TABS national training conference will take place on TUESDAY 12th May 2015.This all-day training conference, from 9.30am to 4.30pm, will be hosted by British Cycling at the National Cycling Centre, Manchester M11 4DQ.
Within the next fortnight we will provide more information about the day’s content, and also start taking bookings for the conference (hopefully on-line this year!). My colleague, Lily Evans, who is working 2 days a week from now to help organise the event will be in touch shortly.
The focus of the conference this year will be solely on training, with a wide range of practical workshops and different types of discussion forums. And then, in the Autumn 2015, post elections, TABS hopes to hold another event this time focusing on the promotion of Bikeability to key decision makers and funders, at which the achievements of Bikeability schemes can be show-cased.
TABS is currently in the process of collating the conference content and are keen to get input from our members. Please do get in touch ASAP if you:
If you can email Isobel@tabs-uk.org.uk and we will try to work your suggestions/contributions into the conference agenda. For further information click here.

- would be interested, in-principle, to showcase a particular innovative or best-practice issue, and be willing to talk about the experience.
Help get Bikeability into election manifestos Last month we invited members to contact their local MPs inviting them to include targets for training and funding in their Election manifestos and send them a fact sheet - Click here for info sheet and suggested text for a cover email, plus general guidance on engaging with MPs (including PR hints and tips). TABS would love to hear from any members who have received feedback from their MPs (email: firstname.lastname@example.org), and if you've not yet done so, do contact them!
2015 Survey Last month TABS iinvited feedback about our membership services. We have had some responses but would welcome more! We would also like to collect information about the experience and skills of our members, for instance, in marketing, research, training etc., plus your interest in contributing to future TABS projects and working groups. This survey is now available for you to complete, using Survey Monkey - just click here. It should take less than 5 minutes to complete. The names of all those who respond will be entered into a prize draw to win a free, additional place at this year's training conference.
