Work Day | This Saturday (8 January) | 11.00am onwards
Can you help for an hour or more?  We will meet at GBC at 11.00am and allocate tasks to be carried out here and at Grace Fellowship. Tasks will include: clearing up after Christmas, moving items between the sites, general tidying and cleaning ready for next term. If you know that you will be able to help sometime during the day, please let Daniel know as that will help with planning.  Many thanks.

Circle of Security Parenting Course
From Tuesday 25 January we will be starting an 8 week Circle of Security Parenting Course at GBC.
The sessions will be from 1.15pm to 2.30pm each week, with refreshments served beforehand.

During the course we consider how our attachments to our children work and why they are so vital in this relationship, as well as thinking about becoming reflective – rather than reactive – parents. It is a mixture of video material and discussion times.

For more information and to book, please contact Anne Ambler

Alpha Course
We plan to run an Alpha course on Tuesday evenings from 8 February at GBC. Please pray for this and give thought to whom you might invite. For further information, contact Carolyn.

Happy New Year from the AMEN team

Thanks to all at GBC who contributed to the AMEN shoebox initiative before Christmas.  The team have contacted us to say that despite various challenges, the 2021 shoebox collection was very successful and they were able to send 2417 boxes to Romania in December. They send thanks to everyone for contributions and prayers.  In addition to the shoeboxes, a lot of hand crafted blankets were also distributed.  If anyone would like to be knitting blankets, or gloves, hats, scarves or teddy bears during the year please contact Carolyn for info.

While we hold some of our activities at GBC and Grace Fellowship, we need to continue to follow sensible guidelines about keeping ourselves and others safe. This includes asking people:
  • not to attend if they have Covid symptoms,
  • to sanitise hands on arrival and during their time on the premises, and
  • to wear a mask when in the building
We will also have to limit numbers for capacity reasons and have implemented a booking system for our Sunday morning worship service. To book for this coming Sunday, use the link above. It may be that demand exceeds available spaces so those trying to book later may receive a 'full' response. We will try to manage this by asking people who are present one week to not book in for the following week until the Friday - to give others a chance to book spaces - BUT IF THERE ARE SPACES AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY, GO AHEAD AND BOOK.
For those unable to use online booking, please phone the church office on 01480 458565 from Tuesday morning and we can book your space for you.
The Worship Area and Resources Room remain out of bounds while the building work continues. Please do not access GBC through the side entrance in Clyde Yard. In the event of an emergency and a need to vacate the building, exit through the fire door in the kitchen and make your way to the front car park - avoid using the fire door in the Worship Area foyer.
