Care Packages for Uni Students
Each year we send a package to all our students away at University to bless and encourage them.  We're planning this now for this year so if you would like to donate some items we'd be really grateful.  We're looking for biscuits, chocolate and cards of encouragement.  Drop them in to the office please in the next couple  of weeks.
Prayer and Praise points have been sent out today for Cambodia Action.  Please contact us by replying to this e-mail if you would like to receive these or to be added to the distribution group for future mailings.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Children are still needing gifts this Christmas, BUT because of Covid 19 you may want to use this link https://shoeboxonline.samaritans-purse.org.uk/ and pack your box online this year. Alternatively, there are still collection places to drop off boxes, if you’ve packed them yourself, but you will need to take them to a drop off centre (NOT to the church). Our nearest drop off centre this year is: Buckden Methodist Church, Church Street, Buckden, St Neots, Cambridgeshire PE19 5TP and hours are: Monday 9 November, Friday 13 November or Monday 16 November - all from 2.00-4.30pm. With thanks from the children who will receive them.  If you need anymore advice you can ring Liesl Houghton between Thursday to Sunday on 01480 450947.
Prayer Room
We focused on Pause/Rest over the summer and now is the time to Rejoice. Come and spend some time with God in the Prayer Room. This is a different way to pray but may inspire you.Take a break from work or home. You can now book a one hour slot via the church office on 01480 458565 or by replying to this e-mail so no need to worry about possibly having to wait outside!  Suggest a time and we'll let you know if it's possible.
Lift Needed to Cambridge
Mariam Al Ghazali is doing an English course at Bell College, Red Cross Lane, Cambridge CB2 0QU, between now and Christmas. She needs transport from Godmanchester to Cambridge on Monday and Wednesday mornings to get to the college by 9.30am. Tim Martindale is putting together a rota but needs a couple more volunteers to ensure all the dates are covered. Please email Tim with any offers: tim.martindale@gmail.com, or contact Christine Heaton (candi@heatonic.org.uk) for more information. Thank you.
Leadership Team are continuing to monitor all government and Baptist Union guidance very carefully and to decide how that affects us all at GBC.  The premises are open for some very limited use at the moment within the rigorous Covid-safe guidance required.  If you are on the premises for any reason, please do follow all the signage and guidance - based on the current 'hands, face, space' information.  We also need to remind people that the current government guidance for those in vulnerable groups, whether that is age related or to do with medical conditions, is still to take particular care and to stay at home as much as possible.
Message from Denise Hogg:
If you have been saving foil for me, would you please contact me at 01480 394489 and I will come to collect it. As from this week I shall not be collecting anymore as I no longer have a contact for it. Thank you to all who have helped to buy a puppy for the blind. Denise.
