Families Venture is church for families who want to meet Jesus, belong to their local church and bring up their children as Christians. It’s a time of creativity, worship and eating together. There will be lots of fun and creative activities for the whole family to take part in. We have refreshments available throughout the afternoon. On the 2nd Sunday of the month at 4.00pm, starting Sunday 8 May, we will meet at the church building and will include sharing a meal together.  On the 4th Sunday of the month we will usually venture outdoors together e.g. for a walk or at a local park. Don’t forget to dress appropriately for any messy crafts or muddy activities!
An e-mail has gone out to families giving lots of information about this new initiative.  If you would like to be added to that distribution list please contact the church office.
Can you help?
As we get ever closer to reopening the Worship Area at GBC, we want to steam clean the chairs. Do you have a steam cleaner that you or someone else could use? If so, let the Office (458565) know and we will sort out a date to do this.

Spring is here, which means the grass needs cutting! Are you able to help with grass cutting at Grace Fellowship? If so, please email
John Stevens.
Community Sponsorship
We are pleased to say that everything is coming together for our second project to resettle a refugee family in Godmanchester. Our first family have been offered another house to rent, so it looks like our Hope Into Action house will be empty over the summer for refurbishing and refurnishing, ready for a new family, possibly in September.
Therefore, we are looking for some short-term help over the summer months
  • A volunteer to oversee the professional redecoration of the house, with support from someone at Hope into Action.
  • Volunteers to keep the garden tidy while the house is empty.
  • Volunteers to work with Sarah Noble to source all of the furniture, equipment and utensils for the house.
  • Donations to purchase some of the furniture and equipment, and to cover the costs of the project over the next 2 years. Donations can be made into the Church bank account using the reference ‘CS2’.
For more information, please contact John Pickersgill (07563 763078), Karen Smith (07863 299545) or Sarah Noble (07723 916585)
Grace Fellowship
Being able to use Grace Fellowship while the building work at GBC has been onging has been such a blessing.
Praise the Lord!
The question now is how does God want us to use the building once GBC is fully open?
We plan a Prayer and Vision afternoon on Sunday 26 June from 2.00pm - 4.00pm
to pray and reflect on this.
All are welcome.
Children's Holiday Club
An early notice that after a couple of years' absence we hope to hold the Children's Holiday Club this year from Monday 22 August to Friday 26 August, inclusive. The event will run from 10.00am to 12.30pm each day.
Happy Birthday
Birthdays coming up in the next few weeks are as follows

1 May - Wendy Pointer
5 May - Philip Thompson
16 May - Andy Blakey
24 May - Rachel Johnson
31 May - Pat Jones
The Worship Area and Resources Room remain out of bounds while the building work continues. Please do not access GBC through the side entrance in Clyde Yard. In the event of an emergency and a need to vacate the building, exit through the fire door in the kitchen and make your way to the front car park - avoid using the fire door in the Worship Area foyer.
