World Day of Prayer | Friday 5 March
The World Day of Prayer (WDP) is a worldwide ecumenical movement of informed prayer and prayerful action. This year the worship service has been written by the Christian women of the Republic of Vanuatu an archipelago of 80 islands 2000 miles east of Australia.  The theme of the service is from Matthew chapter 7: 'Building on a firm foundation', focusing on living wisely.
Over many years a team of people from local churches have led a service in Godmanchester or Huntingdon, but due to the current circumstances are unable to this year.  However, there are churches that are putting on a Zoom service on Friday 5 March and there will also be a video of the service available on YouTube.  Full details and information and to access one of these services go to the website.

There are service booklets available at GBC - let us know if you would like one and we will get it to you.

A message from Liz Webb about a new birthday card scheme:
Apologies for incorrect email address in last week's email - corrected below.
We’re constantly thinking of ways to reach out to one another within our church family, both during the pandemic and beyond it too. The church would love to celebrate your birthday by sending you a card! If you wish to be a part of this, then please email birthdays@godmanchesterbaptist.org with your birthday and address if it isn’t in the Blue Pages. Unless you wish to opt out, your birthday (minus the year!) will also go in the weekly church news so others can help you celebrate too. We're looking forward to celebrating you and your special day!
Faith Boost is not happening on Wednesdays during Lent.  Family News continues on Fridays on our YouTube channel.
Last call this weekend for contributions for our Annual Review of 2020.  We'd particularly like to hear from you if you could contribute a brief piece about ways in which you have been able to 'be church' at work, with neighbours or in your daily life.  The deadline is 10.00am on Monday morning (1 March).
