Please pray for the team, for safety, and for those receiving the hampers which will include some Christian literature. This is a major piece of outreach work – it needs to be prayed for!

Supported Lodgings for Vulnerable Young People
CONCRETE ROSE CIC:  Concrete Rose is a Community Interest Company with a Christian ethos that looks to provide supported lodgings for vulnerable young people (including unaccompanied asylum seeking children, care leavers and young parents).  We’re looking for individuals, couples and families who have a spare room, a desire to make a difference and are prepared to open their homes to a young person.  Concrete Rose supports hosts by providing a comprehensive training and induction package, 24/7 on-call support, regular supervision and a small financial remittance.  Young people are given significant wrap-around support including weekly one-to-one sessions with a professional youth worker.  info@concreterose.co.uk (www.concreterose.co.uk)  To sign up for a 'Zoom Interest Evening', to find out more about the work of Concrete Rose, at 7.30pm on 9 December, go to the eventbrite link here.
Happy Birthday

House rental needed
Our Syrian family are coming to the end of their tenancy soon and are looking for a private rental of a 3 bedroom house in Godmanchester. Please can anyone help? If you have any ideas, please contact Karen on 07863 299545.
Open Doors, an organisation which supports persecuted Christians world-wide, produce an annual report with a list of the 50 countries in which it is most dangerous to be a Christian. The next report will be launched in Parliament on 19 January 2022. Please consider inviting our MP, Jonathan Djanogly, to attend by signing an Open Doors Christmas Card that will be sent to Mr Djanogly. Trish Harewood will have the cards at Grace Fellowship on Sunday (5 Dec) for people to sign. Alternatively, email or phone (01480 383339) Trish to let her know that you would like to participate.
Room to Reflect is having a rest until the church building is open in 2022.
In the meantime there is always a display about prayer on the noticeboard for our whole community just on the wall outside Daniel's office window.
This month it is focusing on Advent - Hope, Peace, Love and Joy.

Next month we would like to focus on resources people can use for prayer at home. Do you have any resources which you have found useful in the last 2 years? It could be a book or article, podcasts, radio programmes, apps or websites. Please send ideas, thoughts and links through to Stephanie Brown (stileway@hotmail.co.uk). Your reviews and ideas might help someone else with their prayer life and will be displayed on the noticeboard totally anonymously.

While we hold some of our activities at GBC and Grace Fellowship, we need to continue to follow sensible guidelines about keeping ourselves and others safe. This includes asking people:
  • not to attend if they have Covid symptoms,
  • to sanitise hands on arrival and during their time on the premises, and
  • to wear a mask when moving around the building (can be removed when seated)
We will also have to limit numbers for capacity reasons and have implemented a booking system for our Sunday morning worship service. To book for this coming Sunday, use the link above. It may be that demand exceeds available spaces so those trying to book later may receive a 'full' response. We will try to manage this by asking people who are present one week to not book in for the following week until the Friday - to give others a chance to book spaces - BUT IF THERE ARE SPACES AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY, GO AHEAD AND BOOK.
For those unable to use online booking, please phone the church office on 01480 458565 from Tuesday morning and we can book your space for you.
The Worship Area and Resources Room remain out of bounds while the building work continues. Please do not access GBC through the side entrance opposite Brian Searle's garage. In the event of an emergency and a need to vacate the building, exit through the fire door in the kitchen and make your way to the front car park - avoid using the fire door in the Worship Area foyer.
