Photo of Mayor DilkensWelcome to the Windsor Update.
This e-newsletter is provided by the Corporation of the City of Windsor.  Our hope is to share a selection of stories that Windsorites either need to know, should know, or might just like to know about in our community.

In each issue, we’ll update you about events and schedules, meetings and announcements, and more. We’ll profile plans we’re working on and offer a variety of opportunities to share your own feedback.

The Windsor Update joins our website, our municipal Facebook page, our twitter account, and our YouTube Channel as some of the ways we’re engaging with you and communicating the great things happening in our city. We encourage you to create your own direct connection by signing up, “friending,” “following” and “liking” each of these opportunities for engagement.

The Windsor Update will be a monthly publication to start, but with room to grow.

Thanks for your interest in our community, and please feel free to let us know what you think of our newsletter!

Sister City Visit

On Tuesday, July 28th, the International Relations Committee welcomed 53 students from the Misono Jogakuin School in Fujisawa, Japan at City Hall.  The students were greeted in Council chambers by Mayor Dilkens, Councillor Francis, Councillor Borrelli, as well as other members of the International Relations Committee.
The High school girls from our sister city in Japan are here on a two week program hosted by Muskoka Language International which is now in its seventh year.  During their stay, the students are fully immersed into the Canadian family culture and while they spend their day learning English, and visiting wonderful local sights including Jackson Park, Willistead Manor, Point Pelee National Park, and Fort Malden, they also have the opportunity to participate in many activities along with their host families including a visit to Adventure Bay Water Park.

Email Domain Change

Introducing our new domain name:
[employee ID]

Our City of Windsor email domain changed on June 1, 2015. What's a domain? It's the standard text that comes after the @ in all of our emails. As submitted to City Council on May 4, 2015, our domain for addresses arranged as "employeeID]" changed to a simpler and more direct "[employeeID]" much like our City Website’s address
