BMP Tip: Installations

Are you planning to start construction activities soon and trying to determine when BMPs need to be installed during your project?

During construction, the potential for pollutants from construction-related activities can be reduced if appropriate BMPs are implemented. Planning and proper installation of BMPs are required prior to the start of construction activities to minimize the pollutants leaving a construction site in storm water.

12th Annual Mauka to Makai


The Waikiki Aquarium will be hosting its 12th Annual Mauka to Maikai Environmental Expo on Saturday April 20, 2019 at Waikiki Aquarium. This Earth Day celebration aims to raise awareness regarding water conservation and to encourage others to create a clean and trash-free Hawaii.
Guests can enjoy activities such: native plant giveaway, a kids’ puppet show, hands-on learning, arts and crafts, and a fish release with fish donated by the Oceanic Institute. This event is free and open to the public.
