From Genesis to Revelation…from eternity past to eternity future. That’s quite a leap from the beginning of summer (when we finished our Genesis study) to now (as we begin our study of Revelation). But there are some benefits to studying these two books back to back.

Genesis is the book of beginnings…and questions. Revelation is the book of completion…and culmination.

Genesis begins in paradise, but when paradise is lost, the question arises…will paradise be restored? Revelation answers that questions, but not before outlining the world’s time of tribulation—the transition to a new paradise. It’s a specific time called the Day of the Lord…and 19 other names throughout the Old and New Testaments.

Since the Bible speaks of this time frequently and the warning attached to it has great urgency, we’re left asking, “What does any of this have to do with me?” Plenty!

Revelation is relevant! Not only are we duty-bound to study, understand, and appreciate the gravity of the content contained in this book, the events described in this book are way closer than you might realize. Listen to Sunday’s study as we considered the relevance of Revelation for today.

Attention Parents!

Thank you for your patience as we rolled-out our new check-in solution this past Sunday. If you haven't already, you can create your free account at go.kidcheck.com. Simply select “Create Your KidCheck Account,” and follow the on-screen prompts. You can also download the free KidCheck Mobile Check-In app from the App Store or Google Play Store to create, manage, and update your account right on your phone. Either option is simple and will only take a few minutes.

Once you’ve created your account, simply use your 10 digit phone number at the check-in kiosks by the children's ministry doors on Sundays to check your child(ren) in.

A few helpful hints…

  • It works best if one parent add children to their account and adds the other parent as an approved guardian (who can also create a free KidCheck account). When both parents add kids, the system gets confused and may have issues.
  • If your child has no allergies or medical issues, please leave this field blank. If there is any text in this box (like 'None'), it will add it to the label.
  • If you are checking a child into the Nursery, you can print an additional label for your child and stick it on a diaper bag or other materials you might need to leave with the Nursery servants.

Thank you for your participation. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Nate at nate@calvarychapelsaintcloud.org or 320-259-7720.

Be Encouraged

“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
–Matthew 24:44

In Matthew 24, Jesus says three times that no one knows when the time of His return—not even Him! So He encourages His followers to watch and be ready. Those who do will be blessed.

But what if you aren’t watching or aren’t ready? You might think that the events in Revelation are far off in the future.

Are you sure about that? Are you sure you want to live this brief life before you see the Lord with spiritual laziness?

Revelation is only irrelevant if you deceive yourself into thinking that Jesus is delaying His coming. But we are closer to Christ’s return today than we were yesterday. Be ready! Be watching! And tell the people you love and care about how to be ready too. The King is coming!

“He who testifies about these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”
–Revelation 22:20
