We are happy to launch our 4th Call for Startups!

Five technology companies went up against each other in a “Shark Tank” style competition at Innorobo 2015, including the makers of a robot fighting game, a shielded unmanned aircraft that can be flown anywhere and a nanobot that can herd tiny protein crystals to help develop new drugs.
(AUVSI report back from Innorobo 2015)
The huge variety of robotics applications available today are already impacting many diverse fields of activity and changing the game in most industrial sectors. In this fast-changing sector, a multitude of start-ups are being set up, and these young companies need to generate greater awareness of their projects as well as funding.

This call encourages young companies from all over the world to send in their application in order to present their project or prototype to an international panel of high-tech investors coming together at the summit.
Our Call for Robotics & IoRT Startups is open to any company:
  • founded in the past 5 years
  • having raised less than US$ 2 million since creation
  • not affiliated with or belonging to a larger group
We are looking for startups in the fields of:
  • RoboticsInternet of Robotic Things,
  • but also in the affiliated industries working closely with robotics companies: artificial intelligence, big data, cloud robotics, electronics, hardware, mechatronics, nanotechnology, sensors...
The 5 finalists, selected by our investors' panel, will be invited to Innorobo on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in order to pitch in front of the Grand Jury.

They will also be provided with a startup booth in the exhibition hall, free of charge, in order to demonstrate their robotics solutions. Their travel expenses will also be covered.

According to Adekunle, “Each facet of robotics counts”, and the fact that the jury awarded the prize to a start-up oriented towards gaming and entertainment shows a growing interest in an aspect no longer to be neglected in robotics: the power to push the limits of imagination.
Thanks again for this great opportunity to be a part of Innorobo. It was a great mix of industry people and general public who showed an interest in our technology and robotics in general. I was able to make a few very good connections that hopefully will prove valuable for us. The pitch event was enjoyable too, I found the judges to be well qualified and engaged in their questions and review. I was very satisfied with the event!

Back from IREX: Wake up Europe!

IREX 2015 was an amazing place, bustling with activity, 160,000 general public and industry visitors, three massive exhibition halls and an overall feel of the economic boom the world of robotics has to offer.
After spending a day attending conferences to gain some insight as to what the robotics industry – and the Japanese robotics industry, in particular – is all about, I have come away feeling an uneasy mix of fascination and concern. Fascination after this in-depth, first-hand look at the Japanese approach to robotics and concern that perhaps Japan isn’t looking at the tremendous changes that lie ahead with the social and societal impact in mind.
