Saint of the Week

The Martyrdom of St. Mina, the wonder worker

His father, Eudoxius, was a native of the city of Nakiyos (Nikiu) and was its Governor. His brother was envious of him and he brought charges against him before the Emperor. The Emperor transferred him to Afrikia and appointed him Governor over it. The people were pleased with him because he was merciful and God-fearing.

Words with Meaning
By Fr Abram Abdelmalek
  • Remember that tails of shame are longer than tails of pride.
  • If the person protrudes his tongue out of his mouth, he can’t speak… so do not provoke those who are around you by showing your tongue.
  • Exerting efforts affirms presence.
  • The one who get used to the taste of stolen honey, how would he accept the trial bread… No doubt he needs help.
  • Ill- intended people think a lot and deduce a lot of annoying conclusions.
  • You do not have too many choices, either you listen to GOD’s voice or Satan’s voice.

It is with great sadness our earthly Church have lost the very dear and beloved Bishop Metropolitan Anba Abraham, Bishop of Jerusalem and affiliated regions.
He has left the highest achieved academic degrees for the service and the love of Jesus Christ. A leader, humble, good shepherd with an outstanding blessed service.
Heaven welcome him and we shall miss him.

Gender variety has no basis in science

Gender is fluid. That is what young people are being told in schools.
Safe Schools Coalition Australia (SSCA) resource booklet “OMG I’m Queer” (on page 7), states categorically: “Sex is your physical aspects (i.e., your wibbly wobbly bits) … . Gender on the other hand is how you feel in your mind.
