"For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, Fear not, I will help you" (Isaiah 41:13)

There was a guy who loved God very much and said to God: tell me anything to do and I will do whatever You say because I love you very much. God replied and said: there is a big rock in front of your house, every morning push it with all your energy. The man said: okay God that is simple. Every morning he pushed the rock and continued to do this for a year. The rock was so big that it did not move a centimetre. Demon came and told the man: what are you doing you idiot. The man said: I am doing what God commanded me to do. The demon replied: the rock does not move, it is where it was, so stop this foolishness. The man listened to what the demon said and started to push the rock once in a week. God came to him and said: what did you do, did you listen to what I have told you? He answered and said: sorry God, I did what You told me for a year but I realised that there was nothing visualised changed, so I stopped and started to push it every month or when I remember. God replied and said: look at the mirror and take off your shirt. He looked at the mirror and found that his body has completely changed and was muscly.
God’s words that you read you may not understand or feel that it does not matter, but when, a word or a verse comes in the right time it has a cure. Struggles are there, and also God is there… believing in Him and His works hides the struggles so that we cannot see it. But we see God’s works and be joyful in God. (His Holiness Pope Shenouda) sometimes God put rocks in your way so that He strengthens your spiritual muscles so you can lift these rocks and continue your path or to change your path.

Saint of the Week

The Martyrdom of the great Saint Anba Moses the black
On this day, St. Moses the Black, whose life story is remarkable, was martyred. This saint took the Kingdom of Heaven by force, exactly as our Lord Jesus Christ said: "The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." (Matthew 11:12). In his early life, St. Moses was a slave to people who worshiped the sun.

EU agreement threatens freedom of religion and freedom of the press by censoring critical internet posts

The EU has just announced an agreement with major internet providers such as Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft under which material deemed to be “hate speech” will be removed from the internet within 24 hours. However, we have serious concerns that the definition of hate speech is so vague it could effectively censor anything deemed politically incorrect, including for example, any criticism of Islamism, mass migration or even the European Union itself.
