  • Somebody said that the only thing that unchangeable on Earth is "changing", so you have all the right to change and to change your opinion.
  • If you do not like what I say may someone else might like it. If no one liked it at all, so it is still ok my, this is my opinion and I have to say it.
  • Don’t impose your opinion on others, let your opinion impose itself on them.
  • Be aware to differentiate between the opinion and the person, as you love the person even if you disagree with his opinion.

Ecumenical Dinner for Orthodox and Catholic Leaders

Upon  the invite of Panayiotis Dimitrakos from the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia, Fr. Abram and Mrs. Magda Abdelmalek attended an Ecumenical dinner between the Orthodox and Catholic Leaders in WA. The dinner was also attended by Archbishop Barry Hickey the ex-Archbishop of  WA, Fr. Wolodymyr Kalinecki and Fr. Igor from the Ukranian Catholic Church, Mr. Phillip Shields The Catholic Orthodox relationship coordinator, and from the Orthodox side Fr. Elpidios Karalis and Fr. Evan Battalis from the Greek Orthodox Church together with Fr. Panayiotis and his Mrs. Susan, Fr. Walentyn Mowstchan and his wife Mrs. Helen, Mr. Peter Mowczn "The Ukranian Orthodox Committee Coordinator", Marica and Maria. It was a great opportunity to introduce Fr. David Kamel and his wife Mrs. Fayza to the leaders over the dinner.
It is worth mentioning that, this dinner was organised to celebrate the recovery of Fr. Panayiotis, Fr. Walentyn, Fr. Evan and Fr. Abram from major sickness and surgeries over the past few months.

Our Church Hosts Next Meeting

Fr. Abram extended his invitation to the group to meet at St Mary & Archangel Michael Church on Saturday the 18th of June over lunch. This day resembles a significant occasion in the Christian Calendar as it comes one day before the feast of Pentecost.
We Pray that the Spirit of Pentecost brings all Christ- followers to one flok.

Meeting of Mt. Lawley Community Leaders

On Monday the 15th of February, Fr. Abram attended a meeting for the Community Leaders of Mt. Lawley. The meeting was hosted by Rabbi Dovid Freilich, the most Senior Rabbi of Perth Synagogue. The initiative of the meeting is credited to Mr. Michael Sutherland, "MLA, MP for Mt. Lawley and the Speaker of the House of Representatives". The meeting was attended by leaders of different religious groups, representing various religions e.g. Judaism, Orthodox Christians, Catholic, Anglican, Protestant Churches, Islam and etc..
Fr. Abram suggested that the meeting should be called Community Leaders instead of Faith Leaders as what brings us together is serving our Community of WA. The meeting discussed how to cooperate in serving some current issues like homelessness, un-imployment and mental health issues. The meeting was productive and promising.

Our Church Holds one of the following Meetings

Fr. Abram invited the leaders to meet in our Church on Monday the 7th of November 2016, this would be the fourth and last meeting of the year.

Sharia and Australian Law. Why Sharia Law cannot be practised in our country.

Sharia law says that Moslems should fight non-Moslems until Islam has been established over all mankind. (Muslim 001,0031) Treason against our constitution (article 116).
Apostates from Islam, under Sharia, should be executed (Quran 4.89) Murder.

Jihad, striving/war against non-Muslims, is obligatory for all Muslim males (Quran 9.29) Treason.

Theft is to be punished by the amputation of a hand. Bukhari (81:780) This is assault and bodily harm.
Slavery is permitted by Sharia law. (Guillaume, 466, 499, 516, 593, 295, 496, 466). Slavery is a crime.
The Quran  allows men to beat their wives. (Quran 4.34). This is assault in Australia.
Women may be compelled to marry against their will. (Traveller m3.13). A crime.
A Moslem may have four wives. (Quran 4:3).  In Australia this is multiple bigamy and a crime.
Child marriage  (of a girl under 18 years of age) is permitted in Islam. (Bukhari 7,62,18). This is paedophilia. It is a crime.
A female slave may be used sexually. Quran 23.5-6).  This is rape and illegal.
Fornication in Sharia law carries the death penalty and the offender …is stoned to death…. (Traveller o12.2).
Adultery too is a capital crime. One may kill a convicted married adulterer (Traveller o5.4, also Traveller  e12.8). That is, a father or a husband  may kill an erring wife or a potentially erring daughter. This is called an Honour Killing. It is approved by Sharia law (Bukhari 8,82,829; 9,93,512).  All these killings are murder.
A husband can force his wife to have sex with him. (Traveller m5.1).
This is the crime of rape.
Circumcision is obligatory for every male and female under Sharia law. (Traveller  e4.3). In the case of women this is called genital mutilation and is a crime.
Homosexuals should be stoned to death. (Traveller o12.2). This is murder.
Conclusion
Since even this small selection of Sharia law (a law that is fully supported by Muslims) is in such serious conflict with our laws in Australia, then it is quite clear that we have to ban Islam and any failure to do so is collusion in the committing of crimes. Our current leaders should be so charged.

Tutoring Programs: St Mark School

Saint Mary and Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church is proud to present to you the commencement of a tutoring program offered for students from Kindy to Year 12. Our tutoring program will provide assistance for the following subjects:

Math’s from Kindy-Year 12
English from Kindy-Year 9
Chemistry from Year 10-12
Human biology from Year 10-12
Physics from Year 10-12

Our tutoring program consists of tutors who are able to provide students with academic support. Tutoring lessons will be held at the church inside St. Demiana’s unit (venue maybe changed) every Saturday from 6-7pm. We would like to ask that the families of every student donate $5 every month, which will go towards stationary supplies for the students. If anyone is interested, there will be forms, which need to be filled out for each student in the family and handed to Mrs. Maggi Shihata along with the donation.

English for Adults
In addition to our tutoring program for students from Kindy to Year 12, Mr. Peter Gellet has willingly volunteered to provide adults with English tutoring.

Property faults known to the seller

A significant waste of time after settlement is dealing with faults that the buyer has identified after taking possession. Typically the agent is not aware of the faults, but the buyer will blame the agent and expect some type of action from them.

Ideally the agent would have raised the question of faults with the seller during the listing process. The REIWA Seller’s Disclosure Statement is a practical method of addressing property faults. Question 56 asks, “Is there anything on the property that is not in working order?”

Sellers should be made aware that intentionally remaining silent on known faults not clearly visible could be deemed to be ‘knowingly engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct’. In such scenarios the buyer, after settlement, could take legal action to recoup any losses that have been incurred.

If the agent becomes aware of faults, then that information should be relayed to serious prospective buyers and where necessary make a buyer acknowledgement on the O&A.
