Premier League: City take it to Man United, Arsenal need late equalizer, Chelsea held

In the Manchester derby, the champions hosted the Red Devils and got out to a strong start. Dominating possession in the early stages, their work was rewarded with a David Silva opener in the 12th minute. The next goal didn't come until shortly after half-time when Sergio Aguero found the net after an impressive counter-attack. Anthony Martial equalized from the penalty spot ten minutes later to keep things interesting, but Ilkay Gundogan sealed the deal in the 86th minute for a 3-1 final.

Liverpool played Fulham and won 2-0 with goals from Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri on either side of the break.

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 final with Wolves at home, being down for most of the match before Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalized in the 86th... Chelsea were held to a scoreless draw by Everton at home... Tottenham's Juan Foyth won it for Spurs in the 66th minute with the lone goal of the game.

La Liga: Barcelona lose at home to Betis, Atletico come from behind

Barcelona fell 4-3 to Real Betis to earn their first league home loss since September of 2016. Firpo and Sanchez Rodriguez got the visitors off to a great start, each scoring inside 35 minutes. Lionel Messi responded with a penalty in the 68th, but Giovani lo Celso capitalized on a Marc-Andre ter Stegen error to make it 3-1 Betis. Just when Barca looked to be storming back after an Arturo Vidal goal in the 79th, Betis again answered with a fourth goal in the 83rd, two minutes after Ivan Rakitic was sent off for a second yellow. Messi scored again in the 92nd minute but the damage was done and Barca fell to the mid-table side and are now just one point above Atletico Madrid.

Atletico took advantage of the dropped points by the leaders, fighting back for a 3-2 win against Athletic Bilbao. After being down 2-1 with 25 to play, Atletico found a way to win it with two late goals including Diego Godin's stoppage-time winner.

Real Madrid beat Celta Vigo 4-2, and are four points off of leaders Barcelona in sixth place.

MLS: SKC survive and get by RSL, Atlanta United show dominance over NYC

Sporting Kansas City beat Real Salt Lake 4-2 at home to win 5-3 on aggregate. KC scored twice inside twenty minutes, but let RSL back into it by giving up goals in the 60th and 72nd, sandwiched by an llie Sanchez penalty. With the score at 3-2 and 4-3 on aggregate, Daniel Salloi scored his second of the game for the home side in stoppage time to add some insurance and hand Sporting KC a 4-2 (5-3) win over RSL. SKC will face Portland Timbers in the Conference Championship.

Atlanta United FC knocked off NYCFC by a score of 3-1, winning 4-1 on aggregate. Atlanta, the two seed, scored twice in the first half to add to their lead from the first leg before allowing one to third-seeded NYC just before the break. Atlanta's Josef Martinez scored his second of the game in the 83rd from the penalty spot to put the series out of reach.

In the final game of the weekend, top-seeded New York Red Bulls came back to beat Columbus Crew 3-0 (3-1). Axel Muyl scored early before Daniel Royer scored two in quick succession with less than twenty to play. Red Bulls will face Atlanta United in the Conference Championship.
