A Note from Jennifer

Dear Tai Chi and Massage Family,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and the New Year is off to an amazing start.

My surgery on December 3rd went well - my broken back is now cleaned up and repaired. Thankfully the surgeon did not discover any additional damage or complications. Although he did find that the nerve in question was extremely irritated and swollen and will take more time to heal than originally planned.

The past few months have been challenging due to some low blood pressure issues, major physical limitations and discomfort, and boredom. I think that's been the worst part. I'm happy to report that I'm making a little progress every day. I have advanced from using a walker to walking unassisted for 30+ minutes almost daily!!! Thank goodness for my winter gear – it’s been cold!

And yes, I'm practicing my Tai Chi. I'm currently able to do Master Jou’s Qi Gong set (with some modifications), self- acupressure, and 3 minute standing meditations. And I finally started physical therapy to strengthen my core and legs. My right leg was almost 50 percent weaker than my left!

One of the most beneficial healing tools I've received and I'm continuing to receive is the outpouring of love, support, thoughts and prayers, cards, flowers, gifts, healthy meals, visits, calls/texts, and assistance. Words cannot express how powerful these gifts are to me and my continued recovery. THANK YOU! Thank you! THANK YOU!

Warmest regards,

Happy New Year!

“In Chinese astrology, 2016 is the Year of the Monkey. The Monkey represents playfulness, curiosity, and unpredictability. For all of us, this can mean a year of action and change. Be flexible and go with the flow. Your creativity will then express itself in ways that seem unimaginable today” (Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2016).

Wishing you a year full of vibrant health, a peaceful mind, and prosperity,
