Columbia is forecastedto receive between $50M-$100M in the Economic Growth and Trade sector. The USAID Lands for Prosperity Activity is a task and order delivery that seeks to improve the conditions of rural households to achieve licit economic development through land tenure strengthening. The anticipated solicitation release date for this opportunity is July 6, 2018.
Nigeria anticipates $50M-$100M in a newly forecasted opportunity. This cooperative agreement is in the Global Health sector as the Social Services for AIDS-affected Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and Adolescents. The aim of this program is to provide social services for orphans, adolescents, and other vulnerable children who are AIDS-Affected.
Pakistan is forecasted to receive $36M-$79M in the form of three new programs. The largest of these awards is the Pakistan Youth Development Project for $25M-$50M. This cooperative agreement is under the Education sector and aims to prepare youth for workforce participation (employment or entrepreneurship) by focusing education assistance on skills acquisition and civic engagement, and supporting youth as they emerge from training programs to identify employment opportunities or pursue entrepreneurial ventures to improve livelihoods, reduce the prospect of economic marginalization, serve as role models for other youth, and contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth. The second forecasted award for Pakistan is the Communications and Outreach Project in the Management sector for $10M-$25M. Winners of this contract are expected to improve Pakistanis’ awareness and understanding of U.S. government civilian assistance activities to Pakistan through extensive media and outreach campaigns, along with secondary objectives. The final award is under Water and Sanitation for $1M-$4M in the Architect Engineer Services for Municipal Services Program Sindh contract.
Egypt is anticipating between $25M-$50M in one new forecasted contract. The Economic Security, Regional Business, and Trade Development Project aims to assist the government of Egypt undertake economic reforms, and to assist SMEs to build the capacity to take full advantage of new trade opportunities created by those reforms. The project aims to improve bilateral trade flows with trading partners, increase trade and export earnings, and attract business and investment to Egypt. The anticipated release date for this contract is July 30, 2018.
