New Forecasted USAID Opportunities


In September 2017, USAID added up to $870 million in new opportunities to the Mission Forecast. Below is a breakdown of the top sectors and countries for these new forecasted opportunities. 
Ethiopia anticipates three Global Health procurements and one Education procurement, totaling $60M - $126M in new funding. The Reading For Ethiopia's Achievement Developed (READ II) activity, a $50M - $100M Education cooperative Agreement, will build on USAID/Ethiopia's suite of first generation READ projects, expanding some best practices that the MOE supports while delving into new programming areas identified as critical for the continued development of "learning to learn" skills across diverse subjects, languages, and geographic areas. Ethiopia also anticipates a $50M - $100M Global Health cooperative agreement, entitled Strengthening Quality on Malaria Diagnosis and Treatment (SQMDTE). USAID forecasted two $150K - 500K Global Health Task Order/Delivery Orders, Mulu/MARPS End-line Evaluation and Mulu/Worksite (MULU II) End-line Evaluation

Peru anticipates five awards totaling $44M - $110M. 1) $10M - $25M Environment and Global Climate Change contract entitled the Amazon Knowledge and Learning Platform. 2) $10M - $25M Environment and Global Climate Change contract entitled Promotion of Best Environmental and Social Management Practices. 3$10M - $25M Environment and Global Climate Change contract entitled Representation of Indigenous Peoples in Governance of Amazon Forests and Waters. 4$10M - $25M Environment and Global Climate Change contract entitled Securing a Sustainable, Legal, Profitable and Inclusive Forest Sector. 5) $4M - $10M Environment and Global Climate Change cooperative agreement entitled SERVIR Amazonia. 
 
Madagascar is forecasted to receive $50M - $100M Global Health contract, Total Market Initiative for Health Product Supply in Madagascar (TMI-HPS), which is a full and open competition award for ISM follow-on.
 
Tanzania is forecasted to issue a $50M - $100M Global Health cooperative agreement, the Tanzania Malaria Surveillance, which aims to strengthen malaria surveillance and to improve targeting and tailoring of vector control interventions across transmission zones.
 
Indonesia anticipates $30M - $75M in new opportunity funds. The ASEAN Economic Integration Support Activity is a $10M - $25M Economic Growth and Trade Contract  that aims to to strengthen institutions to support trade and investment facilitation in goods and services within the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and its trading partners. Indonesia is forecasted to receive a $10M - $25M Human Rights, and Governance award, DRG - CVE Activity (title TBD). Finally, USAID forecasted a  $10M - $25M Global Health award entitled HEA - TB Private Sector Activity, which aims to Improve TB case detection, treatment and cure across Indonesia and reduce the TB burden of disease in Indonesia through partnering with private providers.
