Celebrate with the Gizrra people! On December 6, 2020, the Gizrra people of Western Province, Papua New Guinea, dedicated the New Testament and parts of the Old Testament in the Gizrra language. The Van Bodegraven family (Netherlands) has spent 27 years working with the people on translation and literacy. Christopher flew the family, including their daughter, who recently graduated from high school with Nathan, to the village in years gone by.
In the months following the dedication, more books and audio Bibles (pictured in the woman's hand) have been sold. In March, the people engaged in a Culture Meets Scripture workshop where they compared a few of their cultural practices with the principles of God's Word. Please pray for the Gizrra people as they continue to learn how to use and apply God's Word to their hearts and as they work on additional Old Testament translation.
