Thanks for being a COVID-19 Daily Digest reader! I've really enjoyed writing it, and I hope you've found it useful. I've been trying my best to keep it going while working busy-season real estate hours, but it's become clear to me that that isn't going to be sustainable. We're also past the initial period of big breaking coronavirus-related news items happening multiple times throughout the week that led me to start it to begin with back in March...so starting this week I'm going to stop writing this newsletter entirely, and just more aggressively triage the news that goes into the Civic Minute (my weekly email about local news and politics in Seattle, which goes out every Sunday morning at 6 am) instead.
The Seattle Times has a good live updates page every day for local COVID-19 news, which includes its fantastic daily infographic for the statewide numbers (today's link is here; it's always prominently displayed at the top of their homepage).
Heather Cox Richardson writes a fantastic narrative daily newsletter about national politics broadly called Letters From an American. It's mostly about Trump these days, but well worth a daily read.
It may be back at some point in then future if the news cycle starts overflowing the Civic Minute's ability to contain it again, but it'll only be out of necessity if so. Hopefully the rest of 2020 goes better than the first part of it has, and it can stay in hibernation where it belongs.
