DOL TEAM BLACK
Team #243's Dedicated Volunteer for the 2017 B2V!
Each team that runs in the B2V must have a "Dedicated Volunteer." We would not be allowed to participate if we didn't have one. Jeanette Aranda (WHD-Seattle) stepped up to the challenge!
Getting to know....
Jeanette Aranda began her Wage & Hour career in the Kansas City District Office in March 2001. She worked in a one person field office for 12 years in Topeka, Kansas.
In the past 4 years, she served as an Assistant District Director in the Kansas City District Office and worked in the Chicago Regional Office assisting the Wage Survey Team and the National Section 14c Certification Team. She also served as an Assistant District Director in Jackson, MS before being promoted to District Director of the Seattle District Office (April 2015).
During her career she was selected to work on the Michigan Farm Worker Team, Katrina Detail for several years, and the Ike Detail. She dedicates her success to her amazing managers and co-workers all over the country who have always played an enormous role in her development.
Jeanette still believes, "THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME" and even though she misses her family and friends she has grown to love Seattle tremendously. She feels she has an amazing staff and the sky is the limit for the Seattle District Office. She spends her time exploring the Pacific Northwest and taking extra long walks with her dog Callie (who is human in her eyes). She has become a huge fan of the Seattle Sounders and Seahawks and attends as many games as possible.
And YES, she is still a major DUKE fan.
