After months of uncertainty due to circumstances beyond our control, we were thrilled to find out from our Nepali board that the hurdles to renewing our non-profit status in-country have cleared and we should be able to smoothly and happily renew in October. For an international non-profit, hearing news like this is always an immense relief and cause for rejoicing, since rules and regulations are often in flux, especially in developing countries. To make the news even sweeter, our recent graduate, Neema Sherpa joined our Nepali board, making her the second of our incredible graduated scholars to do so. The logistics of BMKF's work can be tricky, but with an amazing team like the one we have in Nepal, it's hard to be anything but immensely grateful and truly inspired.

We have no shortage of stellar team members here in the U.S. either. In recent week, our board member Amanda Wager, fresh off her trip from visiting Nepal and our brilliant scholars, orchestrated a fundraiser at the fabulous Sol Stone Winery.
