Join us as we celebrate our 12th Anniversary!
March has special significance for the Bo M. Karlsson Foundation. This month we celebrate International Women’s Day, as well as our anniversary.  Today, March 18, the Bo M. Karlsson Foundation will turn 12 years old!
To commemorate the occasion and raise funds for the BMKF Scholarship program, we commissioned the Bo M. Karlsson Foundation Ring ($95) and Pendant ($45). Hand-carved in sterling silver, this beautiful jewelry was designed and crafted especially for us by our good friend Rajman Bajracharya, a metalwork artist in Patan, Nepal.
We chose the peacock motif to represent our mission and vision. A sacred bird revered in Nepal, the peacock symbolizes integrity, nobility, holiness, guidance, and protection, as well as prosperity and good luck. Gorgeous carvings of this beautiful bird decorate the Newar windows of Nepalese palaces, temples, and private residences. Associated with both Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity, and Saraswati, goddess of knowledge, music, art, wisdom and learning, the peacock represents what we can achieve when we show our true colors.
