Learning Through Play

In November we sent out a letter citing several recent articles on the value of learning through play in early childhood, as well as the risks of pushing children to learn academic skills at younger and younger ages. Many of you have responded by sending us even more articles!  Below are links to those that we cited as well as the ones you have sent our way.  Thank you!

As we said in our letter, trends in education, as in fashion, come and go. But, like blue jeans, the value of play endures!
We are glad to see that research continues to support the kind of program we have offered at the Little School since it opened in 1999.
