Trails and Conservation
 – Opportunities and Challenges
Globally trails play a significant role in providing access to nature in protected areas. How are protected areas and biodiversity impacted by trail development? How is wildlife affected or disturbed, or does it adjust and also make use of trails? Do trails result in more awareness of conservation priorities and needs? These and other questions will be the topic of our dialogue.

Call for entries are now open
Building upon the success of our 2018 inaugural event in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, the World Trails Network is now accepting entries to Trails FIlm 2022. Accepted films will be shown at the flagship festival in Pokhara, Nepal, and have the potential to join the Trails Film World Tour, a traveling festival that screens films in theaters and along trail sides across the world. We encourage members to submit films for consideration and to share the festival call for entries within your networks.
