Spread the word: to young people in your network to engage with this important work towards creating a global  emerging leaders platform. This gathering will allow emerging leaders to connect, share, and collaborate in the creation of the Emerging Leaders of World Trails Network.

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy's Emerging Leaders' Summit

The three-day Emerging Leaders' SummitAugust, 11-13, 2021, is a virtual experience with participation centered on young people aged 14-35 but open to everybody. The Summit will strengthen connections between young leaders and their networks, spark momentum for youth movements for nature and climate justice and provide a space for artistic creation utilizing trails and the outdoors as a muse.

We hope that young people from around the world will participate in capacity-building workshops and networking events, will host and share artistic expression, and contribute to creating outcomes like equity maps and a virtual art exhibit.
