How can we best celebrate trail stories on the big screen? And how can excited audiences directly support trail projects? The World Trails Film Festival is starting to bring together an exciting lineup to premiere at the upcoming World Trails Conference this October. Join this month's trail talk to learn about the work behind the scenes to program and grow Trails Film 2022. This is a great way to find out opportunities to get involved, ask for advice for creative projects, learn how to enter your film, and inquire about becoming a host location for the World Trails Film Festival World Tour.
In discussion with:
- Zak Klien, Co-Chair Trails and Media Task Team
- Nick Callanan, Festival Director Maine Outdoor Film Festival
- Jay Simpson, World Trail Film Festival

WORLD TRAILS CONFERENCE
Important Location and Date Change Notice
5-9 October Hybrid Event
It is with regret that we announce the 2022 World Trails Conference will no longer take place in Nepal as previously planned, despite every goodwill in working towards making this a reality. We thank the Nepal Tourism Board for their willingness to be the hosts, and we trust that at some point in the future we will be able to host the conference in the Himalaya.
As a result, the Conference Organizing Committee made the decision to make the conference a virtual only event, only to have at the last moment a new destination host step forward and offer to host the conference in October.
We look forward to making an official announcement in the next few days. For now please save the dates for the conference, which have been brought forward. The conference will now be a hybrid event and will take place from 5 - 9 October 2022.
More information regarding the conference schedule and location will be published in a special announcement.
