As many of you know we are reviewing our services and updating what and how we deliver support to Lambeth's youth-focused VCSE sector.  We'd be very grateful if you would take a couple of minutes to fill out our survey if you haven't done so already.  The link can be found here  https://form.jotformeu.com/82642336819362  The data collected will help inform us of how we can better deliver services across the borough.

YLC - National Diversity Award

Young Lambeth Co-op’s Pathway Co-ordinator Abdul-Karim Abdullah did Lambeth proud by winning a National Diversity Award last month for his outstanding work as a role model. Held in Liverpool’s breathtaking Anglican Cathedral, this is the UK’s largest diversity awards event. Sir Lenny Henry CBE, told the audience: “Congratulations to everyone who has been nominated, you’re all doing a fantastic job, rock on!”

Other special guests on the evening included Celebrity Big Brother’s Gabby Allen and Love Island favourite Samira Mighty who were there to praise individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievements. They were joined by cast members from Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Coronation Street and The Gloves are Off presenter Johnny Nelson. Our Lambeth star was celebrated on Twitter by the council, Lambeth Police and community organisations including Juviens, Bright Centres and the Spirit of London Awards.

Get the word out about this. Abdul-Karim’s achievement should be an inspiration for the young people you work with to seek to achieve more and for all the committed professional’s working in the Lambeth youth sector to continue improving young people’s lives.
