The Centre for Ticks and Tick-Borne Diseases in Malawi is launched


New state-of-the-art Centre produces the 'one shot for life' East Coast Fever vaccine that will be distributed in up to 11 countries in Eastern and Central Africa


A host of dignitaries and other invited guests gathered in Malawi, Lilongwe on December 5, 2014 to witness the  launch of the  of the newly refurbished African Union - Centre for Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases (CTTBD). GALVmed has supported CTTBD to ensure quality assured vaccine production and research leading to sustainable production of the ECF Muguga cocktail vaccine and potentially vaccines for other tick-borne diseases.

International conference on Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR)

GALVmed was one of the supporters of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) conference held November 28-29, 2014 in New Delhi, India. One of the main objectives of the  conference was to facilitate the preparation of a national strategy and action plan for addressing this deadly disease  that affect nearly 135 million goats and 65 million sheep in India alone.

100,000 households to benefit from new Newcastle Disease vaccination partnership launched in India

GALVmed has partnered with Heifer International once again to bring the Newcastle Disease vaccination to 100,000 households in the Mayurbhanj district of Orissa, India.

The UK Veterinary Vaccinology Network is hosting the 1st Veterinary Vaccinology Network Conference in the UK. The conference will discuss vaccine advancement and will provide a forum for innovative vaccine research. The conference will be held on the 16-17 February 2015. Find out more here.
