Welcome to the June news from Amigos!

We've been buzzing in the office as stories have been filtering through about the 2014 Kira Farm graduates. They've only been back in their communities for a few months but the difference their training has made is immense. Don't miss the story of Patrick, 'The Prodigal Dad' - Patrick admits he came to Kira to run away from his responsibilities as a young father after his girlfriend fell pregnant. 'Little did I know that the place I was running to - to avoid my responsibilities - was going to turn me into a good husband and father'.
And then there's Peace, a young, single, mum who used to be shunned in her community but has found respect after returning from Kira.
There's many more stories in the News section of our NEW WEBSITE!!! - enjoy reading about the incredible difference your donations are making in the lives of people in Uganda. Thank you for your support! None of it would happen without you!

New Director

We are thrilled to welcome Godwin Ssesazi as our new 'number one' at Kira Farm Development Centre. Godwin will oversee all areas of our projects in Uganda. Prior to his appointment Godwin was the resident pastor at Kira, providing counselling, discipleship and spiritual support to staff and students. We're so pleased our departing DoP, Richard, has joined our Board of Directors and will continue to provide his valuable wisdom and advice.

Bride and Groom

It's just a couple of months until Josh and Mary tie the knot. We're so excited for this amazing young couple who play such a fundamental role at Kira Farm. Thank you to everyone who has sent a gift for their wedding, if you'd still like to contribute you can do so here - referencing the Happy Couple!

'I am a world changer!'

Find out about the young lady who used to sell her body for the price of a beer. During her time at Kira she discovered how much God loves her and developed a strong sense of self-worth. Today she has a good tailoring job and helps with the youth ministry in her church. Her bedridden mother even says she is ready to 'meet her creator' now she has the daughter she always wanted.
