2020-2021 Season Launch

Thanks so much to everyone who attended our Season Launch!

Our 2020-2021 programming includes a commissioned work by Jera Wolfe, a new Guest Artist in Residence opportunity, new work by Jolene Bailie, WCD’s Emerging Artist Initiative, new virtual content, an evening of self-created solos by Guest Artists, Linnea Swan and Sara Porter, and more. We look forward to collaborating with these artists, their collaborators, and the dancers.

For those who could not attend in person, and to see a solo performance by Shawn Maclaine, please join us online. 

Our online launch will be available to view online, and at no cost, until October 25, 2020.

 WCD Returns to Live Performances! 

WCD was thrilled to host its first live event in over six months! Our season launch included solo performances by dancers, Carol-Ann Bohrn and Shawn Maclaine, in the solos, Altered Aspects and Covid Sonata, choreography by Jolene Bailie.

We are thrilled to offer a three show subscription series. Our 2020-2021 subscription series includes new works by Jera Wolfe and Jolene Bailie, and an evening of self-created solos by Linnea Swan and Sara Porter, with performances running in December, April, and May.

The health and safety of patrons, staff, and artists is important to us. We are committed to delivering programming and performances within government recommendations and with physical distancing. Most of our events will host a maximum of 25 patrons. Guarantee your seat by subscribing today!

We are delighted to present live performances November 4th to 7th at The Rachel Browne Theatre!

November 5th - 1:00pm
November 6th - 8:00pm
November 7th - 4:00pm & 8:00pm

Physical distancing measures will be in place, seating is limited to a maximum of 25 patrons per performance.

Due to COVID-19, tickets must be purchased in advance (no walk ups please). Patrons are requested to wear masks. Tickets are $15. Purchase tickets HERE.

Strengthen Grant

Workshops with Diversity Essentials
WCD hosted the workshop, Awareness: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on October 2nd, with facilitator Thiané Diop of Diversity Essentials.
