Petersfield Musical Festival

Coming up at Petersfield Musical Festival

Dear Music-lover,

Petersfield Musical Festival will start next season on Saturday 29 September with an open choral workshop led by Paul Spicer, exploring George Dyson's colourful work The Canterbury Pilgrims.  We very much hope you and your friends will be interested in coming to take part in this.

We shall be including a complete performance of The Canterbury Pilgrims in the 2019 Festival. The workshop is equally suited to singers who plan to take part in that performance, and those who would like a one-day tour of this splendid but rarely performed work. Click here for full details and the booking form for the workshop.

The 2019 Festival will also include Brahms' A German Requiem, sung in English. The Festival chorus is open both to existing choirs and to individual singers who attend the combined choral rehearsals.

Click here for information about the 2019 Festival including details of both choral works, together with an outline of the whole Festival. Highlights include a Greek evening with Plastikes Karekeles and a celebrity jazz concert with Claire Martin, Ray Gelato and the Dave Newton Trio, together with the two choral evenings and a wide range of family, youth, chamber and orchestral concerts.

The Festival AGM will be held on Friday 21 September at 7.30 pm at St Peter's Hall, St Peter's Road, Petersfield.  Friends, participants and interested members of the public are all very welcome.

We are currently reviewing our publicity procedures with reference to the new Data Regulations, and look forward to keeping in touch with you in future!
