Looking forward, we would like to welcome all the new Team, full of fresh faces ahead of Formula Student 2016. It is exciting to see so many people looking to get involved and for the first time this is across a range of different courses including electrical engineering and journalism.

Solidworks 2016 Launch

Amongst what has been a hectic month for the Team we were fortunate enough to be invited to the SolidWorks 2016 Launch event in Leamington Spa. HARE-15 made one of its first appearances since the Hungary competition over the summer and it attracted a considerable amount of attention from the guests at the event. This included none other than Sir Clive Woodward, former Head Coach of the England Rugby Team. Overall the day was a huge success and as well as showcasing the car to many high profile companies, the Team were able to learn a great deal about the new features of SolidWorks 2016 throughout the day.

The Team have also taken part in a number of Open Days since September, most recently on the 24th of October. Set up in the University's fantastic Auto Lab facilities, three previous cars were on display; HARE-15, HARE-14 and iFour-11.

Many prospective students visited the display and a great deal of interest was shown in the Formula Student Program here at the University.

"It was great to see so many enthusiastic young students taking an interest, as I myself did around 6 years ago. I hope that they were impressed by what the University has to offer and who knows, maybe there will be some future Team HARE members in there, which would be great!" said Tom Sansbury, Team Leader.

If you missed the chance to meet Team HARE at the last Open Day, we will be displaying again next on the 4th of December, so don't forget to stop by for a chat!

Testing update

It has been a quiet post-season for HARE-15, however testing is on the horizon and once some minor electrical issues have been resolved the Team can take to Crossland for a shake down. This should allow the new team members to get to grips with the car and see how we go about running it at events. Hopefully we will be out in the coming weeks, so look out for any updates on our progress.
