PEMPAL connected 255 people in 4 face-to-face and 5 video conference meetings in the second quarter of 2015
255 participants, of which 205 were member country representatives, 29 resource team participants to support technical content, 3 observers, and 18 administrative staff to support logistical, administrative and translation needs met together face-to-face or took part in thematic videoconferences.
Up to 22 member countries came together in:
- 1 plenary meeting of all members (TCOP)
- 1 study visit (IACOP)
- 2 working group and thematic meetings (BCOP, IACOP)
- 5 video-conference meeting (BCOP, TCOP)
4 countries hosted PEMPAL events: Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, and The Netherlands.

PEMPAL shared 130 relevant PFM related documents to support discussions
|

This included 113 PowerPoint presentations which illustrated country cases, latest approaches and results of discussions and 17 text documents translated and delivered to ensure all our members got access to, and shared, information in the official languages of PEMPAL – English, Russian and Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian. Key PFM documents translated and distributed to members, including knowledge products developed by the COPs, to support discussions are listed here.

Leadership Activities supported the network
|
|
The Steering Committee met once during this period to provide effective strategic oversight to PEMPAL. Link to the minutes can be found here.
The TCOP Executive Committee met in Tirana, Albania at the end of the COP plenary meeting, the BCOP Executive Committee held their last meeting in Warsaw, Poland in May, while the IACOP Executive Comittee held their last meeting back-to-back to the thematic group meeting in Issyk Kul, Kyrgyz Republic.
The executive comittees comprise volunteer member countries to provide strategic and operational oversight to their respective COPs. Minutes of their meetings can be found here ( BCOP, TCOP, IACOP)

Discussions and sharing of information brought significant results
|
|
Objectives and key results for each major meeting are captured in event reports. Event reports and presentations usually include the status of reforms in participating countries, identification of good practices and challenges, lessons learnt, and next steps. A summary of these can be found here.

Positive Feedback was gained from Members
|
|
Results from surveys of members distributed after each PEMPAL event, overall satisfaction ranged from 4,6 to 4,9 out of a possible 5.0. Click here for detailed results from these surveys. Improvements identified in these surveys were considered and implemented by the COP Executive Committees as outlined in minutes to Executive Committees meetings.

Recent and upcoming events
|
|
The PEMPAL Executive (comprising the three COP Executive Committees and members from the PEMPAL Steering Committee) met in Vienna, Austria on July 16-17th to discuss the results of the mid-term review of the PEMPAL Strategy 2012-17.
|
|
BCOP:
- BCOP Executive Committee meeting was held in Vienna, Austria on July 15th, 2015.
- Thematic meeting on budget literacy. The meeting will be held via video-conference in September, 2015.
- Thematic study visit on wage bill management. The meeting is proposed for late October or November, 2015 and the proposed destination is currently being confirmed with the hosts.

IACOP:
- IACOP Executive Committee meeting was held in Vienna, Austria on July 15th, 2015.
- IACOP Rifix working group meeting will be held in Yerevan, Armenia, on October 13-14th. It will be followed by quality assurance working group on October 15th and Executive Committee meeting (only for leaders and Executive Committee members).

- TCOP Executive Committee meeting was held in Vienna, Austria on July 15th, 2015.
- Thematic meeting on Use of information technologies in treasury operations. The meeting will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia, on October 5-7th, 2015.
