I will be showing an entirely new video installation at Den Frie’s upcoming exhibition Writings of Bodies <<< We Know It From The Inside >>>. By revisiting the Danish (colonial) archive, the installation will establish a dialogue between past and present, and examen the camera lens, as a historical tool of oppression as well as its subversive qualities. The artwork features text by and voice of the Danish based Trinidadian/ American writer Lesley-Ann Brown.

Writing of Bodies <<<We Know It From The Inside>>> shows works by 14 danish female artists across generations, and is curated by Dorte Jelstrup, Elisabeth Toubro og Kathrine Ærtebjerg.
