What a great year 2016 was for our community! We ran some crowd-favorite programs like Just for Fun Soccer, hosted some great family events like Movie Night at the Park, and introduced a series of new community improvement initiatives with the support of city councillors. We're kicking off 2017 with a brand new website and some great programming, read on to learn more.

Coming Soon: Newly Redesigned Website

We are delighted to announce the launch of the new SCA website. Coming this April, the new site will feature a fresh, new look and feel, improved navigation, responsive design, extended browser support and lots of new content.

The website makes it easier for members and visitors to learn about the Stonebridge Community, find local businesses and stay up to date with the latest community developments and upcoming events.

Some great new features include integrated social media buttons for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to facilitate communication with our members, convenient online registration for events and a new shopping cart with additional payment options. The site also features revamped membership profile pages, a business directory, an easy-to-use contact form and much more.

Be sure to check in regularly for updates, new articles, newsletters, business announcements, updates to the business directory, and to interact with other members.

We’d love to hear from you, send us your feedback at

Orchard Park Assessment and Improvement

We want to hear from you! The SCA has created a subcommittee that is working with residents of the community who have concerns about the current state and the amenities provided by the newly built Orchard Park. Based on input received from residents, we will facilitate discussions with the appropriate entities to pursue future enhancements and ensure the park features align with the needs of the community.

Coach Volunteers Needed

The Just for Fun Soccer Program is coming back this summer and we need your help! This program is available to children ages 3 to 9 and is run exclusively by volunteers. No coaching experience is required. The program runs for 6 weeks, on Thursdays from 5.30-6.30pm, May 18 - June 22. We need to secure 25 volunteers in order to run the program. Email us at before April 7 to volunteer as a coach.

Kilbirnie Skating Rink: Until Next Time

Another great skating season has come to an end at Kilbirnie Park. And this year, as with previous years, we were fortunate to have a group of dedicated volunteers who contributed countless hours or hard work, day and night, to make it possible for all of us to enjoy this great Canadian activity, right at home. This year, thanks to our volunteers' dedication, we hit a new record and stayed open until the last day of winter.

Mark and Andy, thank you for your hard work and dedication, year after year. Our community is lucky to have you!

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The association's AGM is coming up on Thursday, April 6th at the Stonebridge golf club house. This is a great opportunity to meet the board, mingle with other residents, share your opinions and hear all about the great initiatives the association is working on in 2017.

This event is open to anyone in the community. Help us spread the word!

Today, Niraj and his family are proud to call Stonebridge home.
