Political Highlevels met for Transnational Working Days 

Aalborg, Denmark, was the setting for the first of the Transnational Working Days in the Northern Connections project. Over two days, more than 60 project partners and specially invited political stakeholders held several sessions in which the political and strategic capacity as well as cluster capacity, opportunities and obstacles were discussed.

Political and strategic capacity 

Northern Connections Work Package 5 deals with policy implications such as recommendations on internationalisation of regional innovation strategies. These are to be based on Inputs from both WP3 and WP4 and to be set out in a manner that supports their translation to other regional bodies across the North Sea Region.

Political awareness of international cooperation in the City of Aarhus

In Aarhus we have set an ambitious goal to be CO2 neutral by 2030, as a step towards a fossil-free society. As a partner in the Northern Connections project, the focus of the City of Aarhus is to create political awareness about the need for international cooperation in order to find sustainable solutions.

20th TCI Global Conference

The TCI Network's 20th Anniversary Global Conference 2017 will be held in Bogota, Colombia on 7-9 November 2017 on the theme of "The future of clusters through cross-country & cross-region collaboration".

Hosted by TCI member Bogota Chamber of Commerce, the conference will focus on collaboration and complementarity alliances between developed and developing countries for better policies, better business, and better management practices. Identifying cluster emerging trends.

Preliminary questionnaire results show significant differences in know-how transfer 

The aim of the project’s work package 3 (WP3) is to build a common baseline of knowledge and understanding between the project partners. This is necessary as partners from the public sector (cities and regions) and from the private sector (clusters representing enterprises) will cooperate closely during the project.
