Evolution of an Idea: ShopBot's Vision for World Maker Faire New York
When ShopBot began preparing for this year’s World Maker Faire in New York, we determined that we wanted to showcase how ShopBot CNC tools integrate into a small scale manufacturing process. Enter, the idea: food truck trays. Trays that people can use at events to give them easier access to their food and drink while avoiding the inevitable awkward juggling of items.
As we know, while we all love our first ideas, things change once you seek feedback and let other chefs into the kitchen. This doesn’t mean we weren’t successful in developing the small scale production process for our booth at World Maker Faire, it just means that the idea for the booth had to evolve as the idea for the project evolved.
To learn more about the evolution of our idea and see more photos of the food trays, visit the ShopBot blog. Or better yet, if you’re in the tristate area, or are planning to be in the vicinity of New York City September 23 or 24, come visit our booth at World Maker Faire. Not only will you see our small production line running, you might even be able to get yourself one of the trays!
