This Week at Edina Community Lutheran Church

GENERATIONAL PARTIES WARM UP FEBRUARY
As people of faith, we gather to worship and learn about God and are called out into our community in acts of service and justice…and we are called to do these things together.  As we grow in community, we invite you to get to know each other, laugh together, and create bonds with others in the congregation both on Sunday morning and through special activities throughout the year.

This month, we celebrate some of our favorite social events of the year:  ECLC’s Generational Parties!  These purely social gatherings bring folks together who may worship at different services or have never had more than a 2 minute passing of the peace conversation…and they’re a great chance to make new ECLC friends.  Please note that the generations listed are general guidelines; please RSVP for the potluck party that feels most appropriate for you.

GIVE WITH ECLC
TRAVEL-SIZED TOILETRIES NEEDED:  Do you have unopened travel-sized toiletries from hotel stays in your bathroom cupboard? Drop them off at the blue bin at ECLC’s sign up center throughout February and we will donate them to local shelters and social service agencies who need them for guests!

ALTAR FLOWERS: What does it mean to sponsor altar flowers? We have an arrangement of fresh flowers on the altar every Sunday (except during Lent). We invite members to make a donation to cover the cost of the flowers for individual Sundays. If the altar flower sponsorship has been filled then you may sponsor an arrangement for the plant stand. Dedications for the flower sponsorships are included in the bulletin and explain that the flowers were given in memory of, in honor of, or in celebration of a special person or event. If you'd like to sponsor flowers, you can sign-up on the chart by the sign up center or contact Lisa at (952-926-3808, lmacklem@eclc.org). The cost is $35 and you are welcome to take the arrangement home after the 11:00 a.m. service.
