Are Ya Ready?
Hi folks! Things are certainly starting to ramp up, and I'm happy to say that plenty of familiar faces have dropped by Speed River Bicycle over the last week or two. We're almost there! Before we dive into this season's weekly ride schedule and a few other topics, I would like to express some gratitude.
Speed River Cycling Club is entering our 16th season. Rather than do what most unruly teenagers might (sulk in the basement and play music too loud, if I remember correctly), SRCC's board of directors has spent the winter considering where we're at and where we'd like to go.
With hard work and input from both the BoD and our new committees, we're implementing some new features that we think will make our great club even better. The idea is simple: more awesome ride opportunities for everyone.
Please be patient as we implement these changes, and step up to lend a hand where and when you can. We're all in this together, so let's make 2019 a year to remember!
Meet your new weekly rides!
Our Weekly Ride Offerings Committee (aka "The WROC") put in some serious work over the last few weeks. We analyzed all of the data we could find on our past rides, held meetings, and the email chains... oh, the email chains!
Can I get a drumroll please? Without further ado: click here to check out the new SRCC weekly ride schedule. We think you'll love what's on offer in 2019! If you're hoping to see a hard-copy of the schedule, they are available at Speed River Bicycle this coming weekend.
Oh, and while you're at www.speedrivercyclingclub.org, click the "JOIN" tab at the top to sign up to be a member this year.
Official Call for Ride Leaders
We are looking for seasoned Wednesday night riders to become ride leaders for this upcoming year. Are you a regular Wednesday night rider? Consider becoming a ride leader!
If it's something you've considered in the past, give it a try! We'll be holding Ride Leader Training sessions to get everyone up to speed before the season begins, so please don't worry if you've never done it before. If you're interested in being a ride leader, please email me at email@example.com.

That's it for this week! If you have questions about any of the above, please email me at email@example.com.
