Kitten season has arrived and it is a doozy! We desperately need kitten food! If you would like to help, you can purchase food online at Petsmart.com. Choose 'in-store pickup' at the O'Fallon or Wentzville location. When you check out, choose 'Someone else is picking up'. Enter 'Heartland' for the first name, 'Donation' for the last name, and then YOUR phone number and email address. Thank you for feeding our kittens!

Please help us to make May 2nd an amazing day for Heartland and our foster animals! We are hoping to raise $5000 through the Give STL Day initiative to bring in some much needed funds for our foster pets!
We survive solely on donations, fundraising and adoption fees; and adoption fees barely cover the cost of standard vetting (i.e., spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip). As you can imagine, most of the animals that we rescue come to us with injuries and illnesses and require special care and treatment above and beyond routine vetting. Our vet bills alone average $8-9K per month, sometimes more depending on the time of year, which is a lot for a small rescue like ours. Nonetheless, we are fully committed to providing our foster pets with exceptional care and helping as many need animals as possible who would perish without our assistance. This time of year is especially important as it is kitten season, which means our intake doubles during this time, and that also means higher costs! In addition, we are 100% volunteer-based and do not have employees; everyone in our organization volunteers their time, and homes, to help animals find their forever homes. As such, every single penny that we receive through donations goes directly to the care of our animals whether it be vet bills, medical supplies or food.

Cat adoptions are held at the O'Fallon PetSmart every Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm and every Sunday from 11 am - 2 pm.
Cats may also be seen by appointment.
