Not too late to get tickets-

and there will still be some on the door!

I have always been fascinated by history and how in the past long term futures of nations have been decided upon battles that lasted only one day (Hastings, Waterloo etc). Then I thought, what would things look like if history was also influenced by petty regulations and silly misunderstandings? My character Borthrum is an Everyman through the ages forever ready to be a spanner in the works.

Inspections. Inspections. Inspections.
The world is awash with them, but what is the price we must pay for conformity? Innovation and creativity may lead to failure but doesn't failure ultimately lead to progress?
StOlaf dares to experiment in a cosmos that demands all should be the same, but the only ones to benefit are those who make the rules.

Cumbrian Comedy Writers
We are laughing our way through reheasals of these brand new comedies by Cumbrian writers Kevan France and David Ross, of North Cumbria Scriptwriters.
The Keswick Link
North Cumbria Scriptwriters meet once a month at Theatre by the Lake, Keswick. This group of professional and semi-professional writers has a serious commitment to writing for performance. They have links with Penrith Players and Wigton's John Peel Theatre as well as with Theatre by the Lake. The John Peel Theatre has been staging plays by NCS writers since 2012, when we had sell out performances for The Throstle's Nest, by five members of NCS. Feathers Fly in the Throstle's Nest, Reflections, Woven in Wigton, The Last Post, Mother Goose and other pantomimes were all written or co-written by members of NCS past or present. We are delighted that we are now able to present a completely new programme of witty and delightful comedy by two writers whose work has not yet been seen on the John Peel stage. However, we think our audiences will go away asking for more!
