Greetings from PEARLL!

Earlier this year, we promised a busy summer filled with a wide variety of professional learning opportunities for world language educators. From our series of online summer institutes facilitated by classroom practitioners, new online tools starting with the Learner Pathway documents released last month, to the NFLC Virtual Summit that will provide real, live, and FREE opportunities for teachers at all levels to connect, and engage as we reflect on the past year and begin "Charting New Pathways".

We look forward to learning with you this summer and hope one of the many opportunities meets your needs for professional growth this summer.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Damari & Thomas Sauer

New TELL Learner Pathway Tools

Learner Pathways look at effective learning experiences from the perspective of the learner by describing what students do. Each pathway identifies three learner engagement behaviors. The Learner Pathway then identifies connected key subcriteria from multiple domains of the Teacher Effectiveness for Language Learning (TELL) Framework to create a set of teacher responsibilities. These pathways allow teachers to reflect on the degree to which their learners exhibit engagement behaviors and identify areas of focus for their own professional growth. Download the new Learner Pathways today!
