***Message from the Warden***
You may, or may not, have noticed that on Wednesday we had a very significant and serious ingress of water through the roof of the Welcome Centre. A lake had formed on the roof, due to a dead pigeon blocking the drain. This in itself is clearly not good news; but I have been thanking the Lord this afternoon:
the problem started around the time that Maggie and I arrived at church, so it was spotted quickly;
Phil and then the whole cleaning team arrived soon after, so there were plenty of hands to help mop up;
our insurers answered my call quickly and helpfully;
amazingly, I was able to find a local builder/roofer who was able to attend at once, who was very nice and helpful, and who discovered the cause and resolved at least that issue;
the loss adjuster is coming early next week to assess the damage and repairs needed.
Please pray that the whole process of assessing and then repairing damage and making an insurance claim is as speedy and smooth as things were today.
Mick
