Family Spot Appeal! As you are all aware – we are aiming to make our church as eco-friendly as possible – recycling, reusing, etc, and this includes all the activities that go on in our church community.
Family Spot would love to recycle glass jars for one of our regular autumn activities – we make tealight holders which requires glass jars of a certain shape and size!
We are looking for jars no taller than 10cm high, eg marmalade/jam/chutney jars about 200/250 ml or 8floz capacity. If you have any jars that would be helpful – please bring them in to church and leave them in the Narthex thank you. In the past we have bought the jars in, but I’m sure between us we can provide the things we need.
Also, we are needing plant pots – we are planning an Autumn bulb planting activity and need plant pots to do this – do you have pots stacking up in your shed?!
Any compost would be gratefully received as well…
Thank you,
Sarah, Frances, Mark, and the Family Spot team
Collection Plate The PCC met last week and decided it was the right time to start passing the collection plate through the congregation again. It will be done in the following way. The side person will bring the plate to the front of church and it will then be passed by the congregation along the chairs to the next row until it reaches the back of church.
Also there will be cards placed on the chairs to represent offerings given by standing order, which you can place on the plate as it passes you if you wish.
Welcome Centre Doors
The welcome centre doors will now be open and welcomer’s will again stand at the entrance
to welcome everyone into church.
